THE WORLD OF THE GAMER

Nowadays, the game is rapidly developed, the types are many kinds. Online game is one of a development game world. The games are connected with all people over the world with internet. With internet connection, the game feels more alive because we can talk with other people and test the abilities to play the game.

But, what is the aim of the gamer and what the feel they got while playing the games for hours? Would the sudden dead cases makes the gamers stop to playing the games or even just ignored it? Is it hard to the gamers stop or just decrease their online games playing time?

          

  I Nyoman Agastya Gurnitha (18), he is one of the gamer which is crazy in gaming world. Boy born from Argentina likes to play online games since entering elementary school. His passion for playing these games as hobbies and his second world. In one day, Diego can spend hours to play games. “In one day I can play the game for hours, depends on myself, am i sattisfied yet or not? If im not, I will not stop until I am sattisfied, but that’s just me, and except if my parents tells me to stop playing”, Diego said when he was interviewed at his home.

Ragnarok II is one of the games that he plays right now. The game’s story takes in the world of Vaneheim (Ragnarok world), in the past the world of Vaneheim was under attack by the Goddes of destruction called “Freiya”, in order to defeat her, the two kingdoms which are Prontera and Alberta, made a truce to defeat the Freiya and so they order the knights from the two kingdoms to defeat her. After the fearce battle, Freiya is succsesfully sealed from the world of Vaneheim. After 30 years past, children from the “Rune of Midguard’s” after doing intens investigation, investigator says, that the children were kidnaped by the Freyjanity(the followers of the goddes Freiya). Soon the two kingdoms assemble group of parties to save the children. After the fierce fight, the children were finally saved in one piece. Zyras Hyperion the commander of the Prontera decided to raise the Orphan’s who lost their homes. These childs posses the heart of Ymir (read: eimir) within them. What will the children do for the future of Rune Midguards? This is the mission that Diego and other players must complete.

Ragnarok II, Dragonnest, and Phantasy Star Online, are one of the games that the boy born in February 28, 1995 most played. He likes to play the adventure games, because inside of the game has a story which takes him to the story of the game even just by seeing in monitors and played with keyboard and mouse. The effects of playing the games he is always feels the intense of the game, not also of the intense, but also what the game is instored. That he still does not knows. His curiousity of his of exploring deeper into the game are unstopable.

As Diego travels inside the game with his character from solo player finds friends and joined together to complete the quest together, day by day passes meets more players more friends to join together as a team. And so, he got alot of friends to joining him to explore and complete the quest to save Rune Midguards.

He plays the games after getting up from bed or after lunch but does not interrupt his lunch time. Sometimes he plays the game while listening to the music.

He likes to play adventure online games because it was not just to complete the quest and Dungeon’s. Its because the people inside of the game. The bond and connection of each people have inside the game from person to person. The moments and the funniest things happens inside are somehow felt like memory, and it feels so good to him. It feels much more alive, finding alots of friends to travel inside the game. “Levels are just numbers and equips are just something to need, but its a must to have it, but there are more important things than that, and that is friends inside of it. If you think playing game is just about level and equip think again. If you achieve that, so, whats next?”, he told me. He has his own asnwers to himself, but for some people out there, they maybe have different answers, and this is one of the answers that Diego told to me.

About sudden death’s, he says it depends on each player, some players are maniac’s and some of it are normal. If the players plays dozen of hours without eat, take a bath,drink, sleep, stretch and refresh, it could cause to sudden death. But for him, he always knows and already a rutine for him to eat, take a bath, drink, sleep, stretch and refresh.He also told me “Its okay to take a break from playing games just for awhile or how long you want, but the most important thing is, do not forget those necessary things, oh come on? Just to do those things doesnot take that long, after you are done doing it, you can continue to play games. But, do not forget to do your homework too, its a must! You must find a way to balance them both in your own way”. If he would stop playing games or not, he answer that at the moment he wont stop playing games. Well, maybe because his age is still young, but he know that he can not play the games forever, and he realize in the future as he get old he has to stop playing games and focus on his career, but for now he’s waiting for that time to come.

So, the players playing the games just because they love to do it, and online games caused the players feels like the games story has takes them come into the games. Some players maybe can not stop playing the games even if they’re heard about the sudden death cases. It would be hard to them to stop playing the games. Its just like a drugs user, when u play with the drugs you wont to stop and also the online games players would be addicted with the games.
